The 2024 Congress of the Central Europe Diabetes Association (CEDA) is scheduled to take place in Palermo, Italy on 6-8 June 2024, and it represents the Annual Conference of CEDA, a fully established European scientific society with 55 years of history and dedicated to the clinical management of patients with diabetes.

This conference will provide the European medical community with the most updated insights into diabetes, to improve daily clinical management and also to ensure a prolonged and healthier life for the patients. The faculty is formed by many prestigious European experts working in the different fields of diabetology and associated clinical conditions including obesity, dyslipidemia, kidney, and hepatic diseases as well as cardiovascular disorders.

The International Atherosclerosis Society will host a symposium with CEDA at the event, moderated by Regional Federations Europe Chair Michael Vrablik, MD, PhD, and Africa & Middle East Member Wael Almahmeed, MD. IAS Executive Director Michelle Winokur, DrPH, Board Member At-Large for Europe Ioanna Gouni-Berthold, MD, Regional Federation Europe Members Manfredi Rizzo, MD, PhD, Zlatko Fras, MD, PhD, and Anca Stoian, MD, PhD, will speak at the IAS symposium about residual risk, lipid management in patients with diabetes, obesity and novel pharmacological management of hypertriglyceridemia.
