Slate of nominees
Here is the slate of nominees that be voted on during the Council of Constituent Societies meeting.
Information about voting
IAS’ bylaws provide for a proration of votes:
“When calculating votes, each constituent society shall be allowed one vote per ten (10) members for which they certified as members when making their annual dues payment. If a constituent society has fewer than ten members, the society shall be allowed one vote.”
Additional information about voting can be referenced in IAS’ bylaws.
The dues paid by 15 November 2024 will be used to calculate the number of votes allotted to each constituent society. Societies are welcome to make a supplementary payment ahead of the November 15 deadline for any additional members gained since the initial dues payment was made. As a reminder, IAS dues are based on the following formula: $3.00 USD x number of your society members. Please contact Nina Perez at nperez@woodberryassociates.com to check the status of your society’s payment or to request an invoice.
After November 20, IAS will calculate and share the total number of votes available, and the number of votes allotted to each society.
Each constituent society is asked to identify one person to serve as your voting delegate at the Council Meeting. Please identify your society’s delegate by November 20.
Deadlines and process
Candidates will be nominated by their peers or self-nominated. IAS will contact all candidates who were not self-nominated to ensure they are willing to serve if slated. The deadline for nomination submissions was August 13.
The nominating committee will report its slate of nominees to the executive committee who will notify the Council of Constituent Societies no later than 60 days before the date set for the election of offices and members of IAS’ Board of Directors.
The nominating process and the description of duties for each board position are in the IAS Bylaws document, adopted on March 28, 2023.
