Objectives:

• Become acquainted with risk stratification in primary prevention – blood biomarkers, imaging, polygenic risks scores, risk equations, which should be used.
• Learn of targets for lipids, blood pressure, hemoglobin A1c, and other biomarkers.
• Appreciate the barriers to implementation of primary prevention, interventions, diet, and lifestyle and medical treatments.
• Share strategies for managing statin intolerance and reluctance for drug therapy in primary prevention.
